Tianse 3D Filaments(Silk Pink PLA)Test

If you were like me and you saw the name of a filament you didn’t know you get a little scared. Not sure if there will be lots of changed needed to settings to get it to work well. No need to worry with this filament though it’s very easy to work with and comes out smoothly…assuming you ignore the seam on the round cork pals.
So first things first here’s my setup:

-BL Touch
-Octopi
-0.4mm Nozzle
-0.2mm layer height
Color
When it comes to a pink, just a normal pink and not a hot pink or a neon pink this is what you want. If you are looking for a normal ol pink it works perfectly. I was a little scared when I pulled it out of the box because in the warm lights of the printer room the color looks a little muted, but once I started to print it and get it in much better light it looked BEAUTIFUL. My sister loves wine and I had found a flamingo and pig cork pal (shown in the pictures) and i needed a nice pink for it and that’s what I got. It’s absolutely PERFECT for these animals and a D’va bookend I will add pictures of later.
Ease of print
I had to change virtually nothing for this filament compared to my normal PLA profiles. I printed a temperature tower, retraction tower, flow test, and was about to use the same retraction (bowden, 6.5mm @ 35mm/s) and the temperature looked better a little hotter at 210c though if you use a cooler temperature like 190 it looks more matte than gloss. The only thing I really had to change was my flow and that was only 0.05% (0.005 on prusa) off so even if I hadn’t done a flow test I wouldn’t have noticed. Most likely if you were going to use this just use your normal PLA profile and you’ll be good, though I would print a temperature tower to look at the gloss difference between temperatures for your printer.
Overall
I don’t regret finding and buying this filament at all. It works well, does so easily, and looks great. You can’t really ask for much more than that. If you need a normal ol pink and not something crazy you can’t go wrong. I would definitely recommend highly.
